Upcoming board meeting and results of chapter election

The Hadassah Vallejo chapter board will be meeting Tuesday night, April 28th, 2009  at 6:30 p.m., at Congregation B’nai Israel.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

At our meeting on April 26, 2009, we elected a new board to serve beginning in June.   The new members of the board will be:

Central Pacific Coast Region Spring Meeting and Installation

Our region will be having our spring meeting and installation on May 17, 2009 at Girasole Grill, 3180 Santa Rita Road, Pleasanton, CA. The meeting will focus on:

  • Project updates;
  • Upcoming regional events; and
  • Ideas on growing our membership.

Unit awards will also be announced and the installation of the board will follow.  For more information and to register, you may download the attached Registration form.  The payment (for lunch) is due by May 11, 2009.

Donor concert in Napa celebrating Fran Rosenberg and women’s health

Please join us on April 19th, 2009 for a donor concert celebrating the life of Fran Rosenberg and of Hadassah Women’s Health programs.  Fran Rosenberg was a very active 50-year member of Hadassah. She had deep roots with many Hadassah members — especially loved women’s health — and was a strong supporter of stem cell research.

The concert will take place at a private home in Napa from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The performer is Daphna Rahmi, soloist and violinist.   Daphna performs both as a singer and a violinist in a Bay Area Klezmer band, “Klezmakers” and in a duo called “Rahmil and Barley”.  You can read more about her on her website.   Afternoon tea will be served.

We ask that guests donate to this event in increments of Chai — $36, $54, $72, $90 or $108 – and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday, April 19th.  For more information, please email us at hadasashvallejo@gmail.com.
